1) Nickelodeon's Slime City - Miami
Slime City, the ooiest, gooiest place on Earth is a place where you can see slime, feel slimed and perhaps even get slimed. The attraction is at the Aventura Mall through January. TheY provide protective gear so you can can get right back into your car afterwards. Tickets are $30 during the week and $35 on the weekend and holidays. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

2) 3rd Annual Kwanzaa Celebration - Boca
This event will explore the seven principles that make up Kwanzaa passing on decades old traditions. You will experience the joy of Africa through dance and performing artists and leave more culturally informed. Saturday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m., at Florida Atlantic University. Tickets start at $25 (there are discounts for students and children).

3) The Nutcracker - West Palm Beach
Step into the dream of a brave little girl named Marie and follow the dashing Nutcracker into a magical land. Meet toy soldiers and battle the Mouse King. Discover a sparkling forest of dancing Snowflakes. Befriend the Sugar Plum Fairy and a host of colorful characters in the Land of Sweets. Running now through Sunday, Dec. 29 and tickets start at $30.

4) Garden of Lights - West Palm Beach
Mounts Botanical is all a-twinkle for 12 sparkling evenings. Discover the magic of Mounts at night as thousands of jewel-toned lights illuminate and amplify the lush tropical foliage, majestic trees and signature structures along an easy-to-follow, paved path. It runs through Sunday, Dec. 29 from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $12.50 (there is pricing for children as well).

5) Zoo Lights - West Palm Beach
The Palm Beach Zoo is illuminated for the holidays with over one million eco-friendly lights. The popular holiday attraction has been extended through Saturday, Jan. 4. It runs nightly from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. and is a separately ticketed event. Adult tickets start at $14.95 and there is pricing for children and seniors.
