PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — As more and more people are social distancing and staying at home due to the coronavirus threat, you may be looking for things to keep you and family occupied.

5 Fun Things You Can Do From Home

1) Digital Zen
WPTV is curating calming, satisfying moments of nature from South Florida to help you forget about the coronavirus. So far, we've heard and seen the peaceful sunrise of Juno Beach, and we went to Lion Country Safari to hang with the giraffes. You can watch these videos at wptv.com or on the Taste and See South Florida Facebook page.

If you are having trouble sleeping, the sunrise video seems to do the trick.

2) Free materials from libraries
The City of West Palm Beach's Mandel Public Library will allow anyone to get a temporary card. They have e-books, audiobooks, movies and entertainment, comics, and materials in Spanish. Other free ideas can be found at wptv.com which include the New York Public Library, Palm Beach County libraries and more.

WPTV's Ashleigh Walters will also be reading stories live onWPTV's Facebook.

3) Social Distractions
If you are looking to break up your social media news feeds with non-coronovirus related content, WPTV is creating "social distraction" videos. If you go to the Taste and See South Florida Facebook page you'll see things like Palm Beach Zoo's capybara, Doris, and how she is living her best life. Even though the zoo is closed, you'll be able to see animals up-close from the comfort of your own couch.

4) Virtually Tour National Parks
There are 33 national parks, including one in our backyard, Everglades National Park. You can brows America's natural wonders by using Google Earth. This is a "certified" time waster.

5) Virtual Art Projects
This is a sure fire win to keep the kids busy. Budsies is doing Instagram Lives every morning at 10 a.m. They are also posting them on their YouTube channel, so you can watch them on-demand.
