PAIA, Hawaii (AP) — An ukulele player at a Hawaii coffee shop sang the duet of a lifetime with reggae artist Matisyahu, all the while completely oblivious to his famous singing partner's identity.
Matisyahu and his bassist Stu Brooks were getting coffee last week before heading to a Maui beach when they heard the man start strumming the singer's hit "One Day."
Brooks suggested Matisyahu sing along and started filming the impromptu duet. At the end, the ukulele player shakes Matisyahu's hand and tells him he has a beautiful voice.
That's when the clean-shaven Matisyahu, who sported a full beard at the height of his popularity, reveals his identity.
The stunned ukulele player was invited along to Matisyahu's concert.
