WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — COVID-19 vaccinations for Holocaust survivors in Palm Beach County have begun.

Firefighters from 18 South Florida agencies began administering shots to seniors Sunday.

It's part of a statewide program to make sure Holocaust survivors have immediate access to the vaccine.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said at a news conference Thursday at the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center that 750 doses will go to Holocaust survivors who are homebound seniors.
