Here's a fish tale about one that got away, but won't be forgotten.
Conor Cogan was nearly speared after a feisty marlin was hooked and jumped into the boat he was on off Port Stephens, Australia, according to The Newcastle Herald.
A camera was rolling at the time and the video has gone viral.
“He only jumped once and then made this turn, caught the wash and speared straight towards me,’’ Cogan told the Herald.
Video shows the marlin spinning off Cogan's body and into the water.
Cogan was not hurt and later posted on Facebook: Had a great day off Port Stephens yesterday on board " The Pump". Went 6-6-4 for the day and also had one come into the boat. Pretty much as close as it gets.
