Today is the second or third day this year where there's a good chance we'll see at least one or two large tornadoes.

The target for one of these big tornadoes?

Texas.

The Lone Star State has been leading the way this year when it comes to severe weather of all types - wind, hail, and even tornadoes.

Texas has had 436 reports of severe weather this year. Oklahoma is in a distant second place with a mere 254 reports.

It's a little different when you look at the number of tornadoes. Texas has seen 23 so far, and Kansas is hot on their tail with 21 tornadoes.

It just so happens both of these states have the greatest chance for tornado activity today, and there may be a shakeup in the rankings.
