An overnight shooting in Dania Beach left a father and his 1-year-old daughter dead in what police are calling a murder-suicide.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident started as an argument between 32-year-old Timothy Hollis and the mother of his two children, 34-year-old Lashunda Bowers.
The couple drove with their two children to the home of an unknown relative near Dania Beach Blvd. and SW 8th Avenue.
After arriving at that home around 1:30 AM, Bowers left the vehicle to seek help from someone inside. Those in the area say they heard shots fired, finding Hollis and the two children with gun shots wounds.
Both Hollis and the couple’s daughter, Kalila, were dead at the scene. Their 7-year-old son, Timothy Jr., was transferred to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital with life threatening injuries.
