A new CareerBuildersurvey finds more than a third of employers have caught an employee lying about being sick by checking social media.
Of those, 27 percent have actually fired the employee. 55 percent were more forgiving and only reprimanded the employee for the lie.
The study also found the number of workers calling in sick when they're not has declined from 38 percent to 35 percent over the last year.
