St. Lucie marijuana distribution ring busted

A Treasure Coast marijuana distribution ring is out of business, according to the St. Lucie county Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say it was operating out of two homes in Lakewood Park. One of the homes was at 8006 Roberts Road and the other was at 6221 Spring Lake Terrace, according to the sheriff's office.

Seven people are under arrest and $20,400 in cash, 7.5 pounds of marijuana and a loaded pistol were confiscated, officials say.

The sheriff's office said the following people were arrested and booked:

  • Brandon Bogard, 21, of Sebastian, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
  • Brian Freeman, 25, of Fort Pierce, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of LSD (a hallucinogen) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Brianna Burke, 29, of Vero Beach, possession of not more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Tyler Albert, 22, of Fort Pierce, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Hayden Dancisin, 23, of Fort Pierce, sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Travis Sjogren, 31, of Vero Beach, possession of not more than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Rafael A. Balgas-Arteaga, of Homestead, distribution of marijuana and possession of not more than 20 grams of marijuana.
