Missing Port St. Lucie man found safe in Brevard County

UPDATE:

At around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office located William Raymond Blanchard in good health at a rest stop on Interstate 95 in Brevard County.           

EARLIER STORY:

The Port St. Lucie Police Department has issued a silver alert and is asking for the community's help in locating 82-year-old William Raymond Blanchard of Port St. Lucie.

Blanchard suffers from mild cognitive disorder which displays Alzheimer's like symptoms.

He was last seen at the McDonald's at 5435 St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 2pm.

Detectives verified that Blanchard was at McDonald's then left the area in his car in an unknown direction.

Blanchard is described as a white male, standing 5' 7" tall, weighing approximately 155 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is wearing a dark blue checkered long sleeve shirt with blue jeans.  He was last seen driving a white 1999 Ford E-150 conversion van bearing Florida tag # 126-LTS.
