Fort Pierce police are investigating a deadly shooting near Avenue D and 29th Street around 8:30 Tuesday night.
The victim, Jonathan Allan Maciel, was killed outside a townhouse near the Indian River State College.
Witnesses tell police Maciel was arguing with his girlfriend and her daughter, when the daughter's boyfriend, Ashlyn Leon Salomon, joined the argument.
Salomon is accused of shooting Maciel multiple times.
Police arrested the suspect, Salomon, and say they are not actively looking for any other potential suspects.
Witnesses said they heard many shots fired, possibly more than a dozen.
Police say there were at least seven gunshot wounds in Maciel's back and at least one to his face.
