Fort Pierce police have cleared a woman they originally thought might have been involved in a suspicious incident Thursday involving a child.
Police circulated photos of the woman and a white car in what they originally said might have been a possible abduction attempt.
They say she approached a child standing by his family's car behind the shopping plaza at North Causeway and U.S. 1. He got into his car and locked the doors.
The woman told police she was only checking on the boy because she saw a white truck quickly leave the area.
Detectives determined there was no criminal intent.
Good news: We determined yesterday's incident was not a crime. Case closed! Thnx 2 all who shared while we were unsure what it was all about https://t.co/HRTI23l6Ar
