3,000 St. Lucie County Utilities customers on North Hutchinson Island are facing a boil water order.
The utility says a construction crew broke a water line. As a result, customers living in Atlantic View, Bryn Mar, Ocean Harbor North, Ocean Resorts, Avalon State Park and Avalon by the Sea should boil their water as a precaution.
A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient, according to the utility.
The boil order is in effect until further notice.
