Heroin is a drug that's killed thousands all across the nation and the epidemic seems to be getting worse.
There have been 38 heroin overdoses this month alone in the city of Delray Beach.
Nine of those overdoses resulted in death.
Overall there have been more than 450 overdoses in Delray Beach this year, 47 of them resulting in death.
The problem is not exclusive to Delray Beach. Earlier this month Boynton Beach police responded to five overdoses in a matter of hours.
Two of those people died.
