There won't be any more gatherings at Sara Sims Park in Boynton Beach until further notice.
Because of safety concerns, city leaders voted 5-0 Tuesday night to no longer issue permits for events at the park.
This comes after a Palm Beach Lakes High School student was shot and killedthe day after Christmas.
Residents in the area say block parties are attracting hundreds of people and they sometimes hear gunshots.
