In the latest round of bad guys versus hurricane glass, we go to Boca Raton, where two men tried their luck with security cameras rolling.

Take a good look at these guys, they still haven’t been arrested.

For 33 years, “Shoe Repair and Beyond” was at one location. With a big gym on the way, they moved a handful of storefronts down two months ago.

“We never had any problems as far as people trying to break in,” says owner, Guy Berteau. "We’re well equipped with security cameras, alarm system, and also the hurricane glass.”

The motion sensor camera fires up early Friday morning, just after 1:50. It senses this dark blue SUV, then this wannabe shoeless bandit pops out.

“Tried to break into a shoe store with no shoes,” Guy says, pointing out the irony.

A few minutes later, the car is back. A different man first, in a hood, and then the shoeless man.

“It’s so funny, he comes back with a mask. I mean, come on,” Guy says.

A few chucks of concrete later, they decide the fastball’s not fast enough.

These two aren’t to be confused with two men on the Treasure Coast that I told you about back in February. They took on hurricane glass, and lost.

The men in Boca at least learned that lesson, but there’s still room for improvement.

“I don’t know what he’s planning but walking through the glass with no shoes on would probably not be too comfortable,” Guy says.

The two men haven’t been arrested yet, they are asking for the public’s help. If you have any information that could help lead to an arrest, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
