Thousands of music lovers are taking over a field in Okeechobee County for this year's Okeechobee Music Fest.

The festival has acts playing multiple stages at all hours of the night, something that seemingly targets a younger crowd.

For 76-year-old Dot Whiticar, however, last year's festival was so nice, she had to do it twice.

The Stuart resident made the trek in her RV to Okeechobee County along with her husband for the second year in a row.

She had nothing but praise for the event.

“All of the facilities were good, the porta potties...we had showers, the food was great,” Whiticar says.

That experience and this year's lineup made coming back a no brainer.

“We love the acts that were listed for this year,” she says. “We watch Usher”

You'll find her out among the 40,000 making the trip to the festival.

Concert goers hailing from 6 different continents, more than 2,000 cities and all 50 states.

Even with all that, she says you wouldn't find a more harmonious crowd.

“I have to say, every single young person was nice to us,” she says. “I’m 76, so I guess they couldn't believe I was here!"
