Chris Mastroianni can't believe what happened Tuesday afternoon.

A customer was in Chic Boutique in Jupiter with a baby in a stroller.

"And so I walked towards her and she had come around to this side over here, so I started chatting and talking to the baby. She told me her name and that she had moved here from the Kentucky," Mastroianni said.

When the woman left, Mastroianni thought something was wrong. "What I do when customers leave is I go get the hangers and straighten them out and check everything. And when I walked over I noticed two hangers that were empty."

Chris told her boss so they checked their surveillance video to confirm their suspicions.

Then they posted the video on Facebook and called the Jupiter Police Department.

"I did not expect 22 thousand views within 48 hours. I never expected that,” said owner Lisa Giresi.

Police say they now have leads.

"You know I would like for her to give back what she stole, maybe do some community service or something and hopefully she doesn't do something like this again to another store,” Mastroianni said.

If you recognize the woman in the surveillance video you are urged to call Jupiter police or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800.458.TIPS.
