Delivery service makes debut on Treasure Coast

STUART, Fla. - Grocery shopping delivery service Shiptis making its debut on the Treasure Coast.

Starting Thursday, grocery delivery will be offered to people who live in Stuart, Sebastian, Port St. Lucie and Vero Beach. Palm Beach County has had the service since August.

Customers pay a $99 fee for a one year subscription and then can order groceries any time they want. They simply pick out their items on the Shipt app and then select a delivery time.

Delivery services like Shipt have been growing in popularity. Amazon delivers some groceries, Delivery Dudes delivers restaurant food in South Florida and Walmart recently began offering curb-side grocery pick-up.
