ORIGINAL STORY:

The Indian River County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect, who was possibly high on flakka, in connection with a double stabbing Wednesday night.

Deputies responded to the 3900 block of 47th St. in Gifford, Fla., at 9:25 p.m. where they found a 50-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds.  That victim was flown to Lawnwood Medical Center in critical condition.

A second victim, a 41-year-man with minor injuries, was also located nearby and transported by ambulance to the Indian River Medical Center.

Overnight, the sheriff's office identified the suspect as Travis Gordon, 31, of Gifford.

Detectives obtained two warrants for Gordon, each for attempted first-degree murder. Deputies and detectives continue to search the Gifford area for Gordon where he is believed to be hiding.

As of Thursday morning, both victims are alive and one remains hospitalized.

"Someone out there knows where Travis Gordon is this morning. We need them to come forward and help us take him into custody. He tried to kill two people last night and we want him off the streets and in our custody," Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said in a statement on the sheriff's office Facebook page.

Neighbor Alyssandria Williams says she's double checking her locks while Gordon is on the run. "It's a quiet street. Mostly cars booming with loud music, but that's mostly it," Williams explained. "No crime, no shooting, nothing. It's just this is a quiet street. Kids play in the street here."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gordon is encouraged to call 911 or contact the Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS (8477).
