A man in his early 20's is hospitalized after police say he was shot twice in front of his Port St. Lucie home early Saturday morning.
The incident happened shortly after 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Southwest Barbarosa Avenue, near the western end of Darwin Boulevard.
According to Sgt. Michelle Steele, spokeswoman for the Port St. Lucie Police Department, an unknown man walked up to the residence and shot the victim.
He was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
