A Lake Worth man is facing vehicular homicide charges following a 2015 crash that killed an 87-year-old woman.

Officials say 38-year-old Jorge Luis Corales Ramos ran a red light at the intersection of Gun Club Road and Havervill Road on December 30, 2015 striking the driver's side rear door of a black 2006 Chevrolet with three occupants. Both drivers and passengers were injured in the crash.

A passenger in the Chevrolet, 87-year-old Ida Rollins of Riviera Beach, was treated on scene and transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. Rollins was transferred to Hospice of Palm Beach on January of 2016 where she died three days later as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

According to a news release, Ramos was heading home from work when the accident happened. He was unlicensed and under the influence of drugs and alcohol. He later told investigators he drank three or four beers while at work. He admitted to living in Florida for seven years and had never obtained a driver's license.

Ramos faces many charges, including DUI manslaughter and driving without a license.
