AURORA, Colo. -- A new report says Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., joked about the Aurora movie theater shooting on a radio show back on the day it happened.
Trump Jr. was on the "Opie and Anthony" radio show in July 2012. After soundbites were played of witnesses speaking about the shooting, Trump Jr. said, "Overall I give the movie two thumbs up," CNN reported.

The gunman, James Holmes, opened fire during a showing of Dark Knight Rises. Holmes killed 12 people and injured 70 others. Holmes was sentenced to life in prison.
Colorado State Senator, and U.S. congressional candidate Morgan Carroll, represents Arapahoe County. She released a statement about Trump Jr's comments saying, "The tragic Aurora shooting happened just five minutes from my house, in the district I was elected to represent. Donald Trump Jr. should apologize immediately to the families and victims affected by this terrible tragedy. The loss of life, and horror faced by this community and all in that theater that day, is no joke."
Aurora is the hometown of Carroll's opponent, Rep. Mike Coffman.
Coffman's spokeswoman, Cinamon Watson, said of Trump Jr.'s comment, "That’s a filthy, disgusting, lewd, awful thing to say. He should be embarrassed and ashamed."
