PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Both directions of the Florida Turnpike were closed near Port St. Lucie Tuesday evening.
Florida Highway Patrol says negotiators from the Port St. Lucie police department were talking with a male subject that was making threats to jump from an overpass.
According to FHP, negotiators were able to talk the man out of jumping and all lanes were reopened.
