A fatal accident on the Florida Turnpike in Osceola County closed all lanes Thursday afternoon in Yeehaw Junction near the Indian River County line.
Florida Highway Patrol indicated that a Ford Explorer carrying 10 people was traveling southbound when, per a witness, another vehicle appeared to make a lane change and cut the Explorer off causing it to lose control and overturn numerous times.
Multiple occupants were ejected, and an adult female was pronounced deceased on the scene. The remaining 9 occupants, including 4 children, were taken to area hospitals.
