A heat advisory is in effect for Palm Beach County until 6 p.m. Heat index values will be around 105 to 110 degrees.
A few more clouds this afternoon, but rain chances will only go up slightly for inland areas. Winds will be light today adding to the stifling feeling of the thick air.

Highs will be in the lower 90s but it will feel like 100 degrees+ for most of the afternoon. The UV Index will be extreme today so limited sun exposure is a good idea.
Tonight will be another muggy night with lows in the lower 80s. A stray shower is possible but rain chances are low. Skies will be mostly clear to partly cloudy.
Rain chances remain isolated Thursday with mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the lower 90s but heat index values will continue in the triple digits.
Rain chances are a little higher Friday but are still only isolated to scattered during the afternoon. Friday will be very hot and humid with highs in the low-mid 90s. Heat index values will be well into the triple digits.
Rain chances continue to climb each day this weekend. Scattered rain and storms are in the forecast each afternoon. Highs will be in the low-mid 90s Saturday and lower 90s Sunday.
By early next week a stationary frontal boundary positions itself around central Florida helping to increase moisture flowing into our area. This will increase our rain and storm chances to scattered to numerous Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the lower 90s.
In the tropics, a tropical wave just off the coast of Africa has a 20 percent chance of development in the next 5 days. Slow development is expected this weekend as this system moves west through the tropical Atlantic.
