Love food, but you’re a nightmare in the kitchen? No worries. Amazon is looking to fill some work-from-home jobs for their new restaurant delivery service and, get this — food-related experience isn’t even required.

Amazon is hiring work-from-home merchant support associates for Amazon Restaurants, a role that combines business-focused customer service with technical support. Basically, you’ll be the interface between Amazon and restaurant merchants, helping them manage their accounts and providing technical support.

Previous Amazon Experience Required

Amazon says the right person for the job is energetic and “customer-obsessed.” The merchant support associate will use a variety of tools to research and resolve issues for merchants, as well as address system issues, recommend process improvements and contribute to a team environment. Work will be done via email or on the phone, and you will have to work weekends.

To get the job, you will need previous experience with an Amazon Support Team, so if you don’t have that yet, perhaps check out their other job postings for a different title. Beyond that previous experience, you’ll also need strong oral and written communication skills, plus proficiency with a desktop computer system and its common programs. You must also be willing to maintain certain levels of confidentiality and data security standards.

Additional Qualifications It’d Be Nice To Have

Amazon also lists some qualifications they’d like to see in candidates but aren’t dealbreakers if you don’t have them. They include a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent thereof, a proven track record of completing projects, the ability to embrace change and proof that you can work independently.

Not the gig for you? Amazon has more than 200 other job postings in their “virtual” category, meaning all of them are remote work you can do from home. Some may be specific to certain areas, so be sure to read the entire job posting before applying. From human resources to sales and even leadership training, be sure to browse them all if you’re looking for an at-home job.

This Company Is Hiring Work-From-Home Teachers And Pays Up To $20/Hour

Dozens of companies are jumping on the work-from-home bandwagon, like Xerox, Philips and even The Disney Store. While many of these jobs are in customer service, some are for things you probably didn’t know you could do from home — like teaching.

Qkids is looking for college students, teachers, stay-at-home moms and anyone who has a passion for education to work part-time (minimum six hours per week) from home. You would join thousands of other people from the U.S. and Canada who teach English to Chinese-speaking children, all from the comfort of your own home.

Each class is 30 minutes and the pay is $16-$20 an hour, meaning you’ll get around $8-$10 per class. You do not need to speak Chinese, but you must be fluent in English. And while you do need to have a degree or be enrolled in a university, it does not have to be in education. Finally, while you do not have to have any prior teaching experience, it is preferred.

All materials are provided and you will also get paid training. Visit Qkids’ website to read more about the job or to apply, and check out the video below to see what other teachers have to say about the program.

If you’re looking for more hours but still want to teach online, VIPKid is also hiring teachers to provide one-on-one English-language instruction to children ages 4–12 in China. The pay ranges from $14–$22, but the setup is basically the same as Qkids. If you’re not sure you want to apply right away, you can get more details by simply leaving your email address at the VIPKid website.
