Suspect wanted for sexual assault in Brickell

MIAMI, Fla. -- Police in Miami are searching for the suspect who sexually assaulted a woman in Brickell late Friday night.

The attacked happened along South Miami Avenue and 14th Terrace in Brickell area — a popular nightlife spot for tourists and locals.

A detective confirmed with NBC 6 reporter Melissa Adan that a sexual assault was reported and they are looking for the assailant.

One witness on scene told NBC 6 he gave the woman the shirt he was wearing when she came running to him naked.

"I just see a girl running naked, completely naked and she was running just to my car and asked me for to get in," the witness said. "So, I opened the door and and look at the immediately for police."

The witness said he then aided the victim by taking her to a nearby police officer.
