COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a teen was hospitalized after being hit by a car near a Florida school.
The Sun Sentinel reports that the 16-year-old girl was hit shortly before noon Thursday near Coconut Creek High School.
Police say the teen wasn't in a crosswalk, and the car's driver had the right of way.
The driver remained at the scene and wasn't cited.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital. Her injuries weren't considered life-threatening.
