There's something about number 15, whether it's on the gridiron or now on a baseball diamond. Whether he likes it or not, he's always the center of attention and always brings crowds.

Jacquee Methot missed school today to see Tebow suit up in a baseball uniform.

"I know he's a good athlete and I want to see him," says Methot.

Tebow always brings fans from all over. Eileen Heaning drove all the way from Oklahoma to see if he's got the talent.

"Come out and see if he is any better at baseball than he was at football," says Heaning.

No question he is talented. Tebow is a former Heisman Trophy winner at the University of Florida and also starred in the NFL.

He has now decided to pursue a career as a professional baseball player. He hasn't played since his junior year in high school.

His first stop is Port St. Lucie for the Mets instructional league. Monday he attracted more than 70 reporters and more than 400 fans. An unusual sight for a workout.

However Tebow isn't thinking about that.

"Thankful to be a Met and part of the Mets family and getting out there and playing baseball," says Tebow.

The instructional league goes until October 8.
