STUART, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Jacqui Thurlow-Lippisch to the South Florida Water Management District.
She has a strong record of service to the people of Martin County, DeSantis said. "She has a strong understanding of the natural environment of the Everglades and our waterways but also is the chair of the Business Development Board. She understands the economic impact that our environment has on our community. So I think that she is going to bring a lot of energy, a lot of knowledge and a good perspective to the Water Management District."
"I shall do all I can to serve with honor our new governor. And to leave all the children of South Florida a better water future," Thurlow-Lippisch said.
Earlier in the day, DeSantis appointed Charlette Roman, Charlie Martinez and Cheryl Anne Meads to the Board of the South Florida Water Management District in Naples.
