The power of Arizona's desert predators was on full display recently in southern Arizona.

Video taken by Randy Babb, a former public information officer with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, showed a sidewinder rattlesnake eating a large desert iguana. Watch the video in the player above.

Only half of the iguana is sticking out when the video starts. The snake, possibly worried about indigestion, takes its time with the iguana as it barely makes any progress before the video ends.

As rattlesnakes can go a week or more between meals, the iguana will likely last the snake a long time.
