Study says coffee can help you live longer

Posted

There's some new buzz about coffee.

It seems that morning cup of Joe could help you live longer!

Researchers from the National Cancer Institute tracked nearly a half million people in the United Kingdom.

They found people who drank more coffee --- even eight cups a day -- had a lower risk of early death.

People who drank coffee, no matter how much or what kind they drank, were less likely to die over a 10-year period than non-coffee drinkers, they reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association's JAMA Internal Medicine.

The benefits were the same for both slow and fast metabolizers of caffeine, as well as decaffeinated drinkers.
