STERLING, Va. -- A Virginia man is getting slammed on social media for poor sportsmanship after calling the cops to report a foul at a pickup basketball game.
It happened at a gym in Sterling, Virginia Monday where the alleged victim got knocked to the ground.
When he called police his friends were shocked and one of them started recording.
The responding sheriff's deputy, seen in the video, said the call came in as an assault.
According to the incident report, neither player wanted to pursue charges.
And management at LA Fitness told the players they had one more chance to keep the game civil or they'd be removed from the gym.
Thomas Mulabah, who played in the basketball game, said: "I do want to say though, the guy who called the cops is a good guy, I know him very well. He's a good guy."
Thomas posted his recording online. So far, it's been shared, liked and retweeted thousands of times.
