Have you ever had a bad experience with a business? You may have posted a bad review online.
Millions of people do it, but one New York woman is facing a million dollar lawsuit over her reviews.
Gynecologist Joon Song is suing Michelle Levine for bad reviews she posted on Yelp, Healthgrades and other sites.
She wrote the comments after receiving a bill she says did not reflect the services received.
Her review mentions the office's crooked business practices, and Song's lawyer says that's defamation.
The doctor is suing her for damages plus legal fees.
Levine has since deleted her reviews and says she has spent $20 thousand fighting the case.
"It's been kind of a nightmare. I just have this doctor that's been suing me for a Yelp review and he won't go away," Levine said.
A spokesperson for Yelp says New York needs stronger laws to protect reviewers from lawsuits.
Experts advise keeping online comments specific and warn against making broad generalizations.
Despite the headache her reviews have caused, Levine says she doesn't regret writing them and plans to continue fighting the case
