(KTRK/CNN) - A fast-food restaurant customer in Houston said she was appalled at a racially-charged incident she witnessed over the weekend.

She said a man made a racially-charged insult against a Hispanic employee.

The female customer recorded the scene and posted it on Facebook.

The video shows a customer saying to a Jack in the Box worker, "Buy a bus ticket back wherever you came from. We came to order here. She told my son no. She lied her (expletive) off."

The woman who recorded the video said she couldn't believe what was happening Saturday in front of her 9-year-old daughter.

"I'm Hispanic, so that was very offensive, that was uncalled for," said the woman who recorded the video.

She says she started recording after seeing the situation escalate.

She says it started with the man's son trying to get a free burger as part of promotional deal, and it appears he was denied.

Then the son's father walked into restaurant upset.

"You're going to get fired," the man was recorded saying to the worker. "Good bye, buy you a ticket back to Mexico."

"To me that was just a show of racism. It just felt as if he was saying it to me. I didn't speak out to him in a verbal altercation because my daughter was there, she's nine," said the woman who recorded the video.

She later talked to her 9-year-daughter about the confrontation, and the little girl had some big insight.

"It's inappropriate, that language is not acceptable for children that are there, because there were more families than us that have children," the girl's daughter said.

"I hope that we just accept each other for who we are and understand that this country is made up of so many cultures and so many people," said the woman who recorded the video.

KTRK reached out to Jack in the Box for comment, but has not received comment.
