MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — The Martin County Sheriff's Office is warning homeowners not to let their guard down after three vehicles were taken from two different gated communities.

The auto burglars stole two vehicles from Hammock Creek and another from Danforth, the sheriff's office said.

In all of the cases car keys were left inside the vehicle, or the car doors were left unlocked, according to investigators.

The sheriff's office says Fort Lauderdale police helped in the arrest of six suspects.

The sheriff's office is also investigating vehicle break-ins on Willoughby Boulevard and at Kiplinger Park on S. Kanner Highway.

Authorities remind you to never leave your keys or valuables in your vehicle, even if it is in your driveway.
