A driver has died after a single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Martin County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
62-year-old Peter Danciu of Palm City was heading north Tuesday night just before 8 p.m. when his Buick Regal left the road and entered the grass median near mile marker 101, FHP said.
The car struck a wooded support for a palm tree and then a metal guardrail for southbound traffic, according to an investigator's report.
Two passengers traveling in the Buick received minor injuries and the incident remains under investigation, FHP said.
