MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said a South Fork High School dropout made himself at home at Jensen Beach High School, gaining access to the school.
Investigators said a 17-year-old used another student's identification to get past school security.
According to a police report, he was busted in first period when a student realized he didn't belong there. Within minutes, deputies were at the scene, putting him and his accomplices in handcuffs.
"They knew what they were doing was wrong. At no time did they think this wasn't wrong. They may have thought it was cute, they may not have thought it was a big deal," Martin County Sheriff William Snyder.
According to the report, the teenager said he was only there for "the joyful experience."
He is now charged with trespassing on school grounds and disturbing a school function. Two others were taken into custody in connection with the incident.
