Oskri Organics recalls sunflower and tahini butter after customer finds listeria

Oskri Organics Corporation on Wednesday recalled sunflower and tahini butter for possible listeria contamination.

On Dec. 18, the company said they were informed by one of our customers that they randomly sent the product in for testing, and it came back positive for listeria.

Oskri said an investigation is still ongoing to find the source of the listeria but have stopped production and distribution of the sunflower and tahini butter.

Consumers who have purchased Oskri Tahini Butter LOT # 193 and Thrive Sunflower Butter LOT # 233, are urged to destroy it.

Oskri Tahini Butter LOT # 193 UPC 666016401301 was distributed in Florida, California, Arizona, Georgia, Connecticut, Indiana, Idaho, South Carolina, Texas, New Hampshire.
