(CNN) - Anxious about your checked bags while flying?
Delta is now allowing passengers to keep tabs on them through its "Fly Delta" app.
Pins on a map indicate various stops, such as when a bag is on its way to the plane, any transfers and when it's made it to the terminal for pick-up.
The airline says it's the first carrier to offer a luggage tracking tool with a map view.
How does it work?
Checked bags get a radio frequency identification tag, allowing tracking in real-time using radio waves.
Scanners along the way track a bag's movement and send the location information to the passenger's app.
The tracking technology is currently being used at 84 U.S. airports.
