Three types of Liquid Plumr Clog Removers have been recalled by the Clorox Company due to a failure to meet child-resistant closure requirements.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, children can remove the top of the recalled bottles, posing a risk of chemical burns and irritation to the skin and eyes.

The products contain sodium hydroxide, which is required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act to be sealed with child-resistant packaging.

These recalled products are sold in 17-ounce bottles that are about 9 inches tall, totaling 5.4 million bottles. The bottles have the Liquid Plumr logo and the name of the product on the front.

Products included in the recall are:

• Liquid Plumr® Pro-Strength Foaming Clog Fighter® (UPC Code 44600-00214)
• Liquid Plumr® Industrial Strength Urgent Clear® (UPC Code 44600-30548)
• Liquid Plumr® Pro-Strength Urgent Clear® (UPC Code 44600-31484)
