If you have a child in the school system, you likely know many schools in the country are lacking funding, and that some teachers pay for school supplies with their own money. In fact, a 2016 study by educational publisher Scholastic found that on average, teachers spend $530 of their personal money on supplies for their classrooms.

While that supplies list includes small things like pencils and paper, it also includes more expensive items, such as technology and books. If you’re a teacher or know someone who is, Scholastic is currently having an amazing deal on books that is sure to help out with expenses.

Now through Oct. 31, or while supplies last, teachers can score a 50-book collection for just $50. (They’re regularly $213-$350!) Shipping is just $4.50, which makes the books $1.09 each — a savings of between 77 and 86 percent. Educators can choose from informational texts and paperback books for grades K-2, 3-4, 3-5 or 5-6.

While Scholastic does list the books included in each collection, titles of equal value may be substituted if any of the listed titles are unavailable at the time of shipping. Here’s a look at the collections and some of the books that may be included:

50-Book Collections: Grades K-2

Originally $250, you’ll save 80 percent on this 50-book collection for kindergarten through second grade. Titles in the collection include “The Gingerbread Man” and “Danny and the Dinosaur Go to Camp” by Syd Hoff.

50 Informational Texts: Grades K-2

You’ll save 77 percent on this 50-book collection of informational texts for grades K-2. Titles include books that will teach students about different topics, like “All Kinds of Pets,” “A Day with Police Officers,” “A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds” and “The Magic School Bus Takes a Moonwalk.”

50-Book Collections: Grades 3-4

A savings of 80 percent on this 50-book collection for grades 3-4 will get you titles such as “Chocolate Fever,” “The Camping Trip That Changed America” and “Koya Delaney and the Good Girl Blues” by Eloise Greenfield.

50 Informational Texts: Grades 3-5

You’ll save 81 percent on this 50-book collection of informational texts for grades 3-5. Titles include “Abraham Lincoln,” “Helen Keller” and “I Survived the Attacks of September 11, 2001.”

50-Book Collections: Grades 5-6

Originally $350, you’ll save 86 percent on this 50-Book collection for grades 5-6. Titles include “Call It Courage” by Armstrong Sperry and “Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry,” a 1976 young-adult novel about racism in America during the Great Depression.
