On Wednesdays, we ask Big Dog Ranch Rescue to drop by with a couple of dogs that need their forever homes.

Lizzie is a two-month-old brown terrier mix. Her mom, Starlight, had her puppies right after Hurricane Michael hit the Panhandle. They made the long drive to safety at Big Dog Ranch and are enjoying a foster home of their very own and they are learning about horses and horseback riding. Momma' weighs in at 18 lbs and is a cute blend of chihuahua and small breed terrier we think, so we anticipate they too will stay under 30 lbs, we don't know who Daddy is or his size.... As with all puppies, they will require lots of love and obedience training so they can mature into well behaved canine citizens.

Pearl is a one-year-old blue Great Dane. She is a very affectionate young lady. She is great with dogs of all sizes, cats unknown but her prior person suspects she would be ok with a friendly cat. She has a heart of gold and her prior owner said Pearl is very intuitive as to her person's emotions. Pearl's favorite thing to do is sit with you and have you hold her paw, a true hand holder. Pearl loves squeaky toys and is eager to have a loving home to call her very own. Pearl is house and crate trained as well.
