Seafood, lasers, laughs, and the Mini-Fair round out this weekend's activities

JUPITER, Fla. — This weekend laughs fill the Improv, the South Florida Mini-Fair continues, lasers, seafood and more round out the Five Fun Things To Do This Weekend list.

1) Comedian Jeremy Piven - Wet Palm Beach
Jeremy Piven is best known for his role in the HBO series Entourage, which aired for eight seasons. Now a household name, Piven has gone on to star in several other tv shows and movies. Piven will perform five shows (Thursday - Saturday) at the Palm Beach Improv, with tickets start at $30 plus taxes and fees, and there is a two-drink minimum. Comedian Brian Regan will host two shows on Sunday night.

2) South Florida Mini-Fair - West Palm Beach
Because of the coronavirus pandemic organizers of the South Florida Fair plan to hold a mini-fair in January and a full-fledged fair in May of 2021.

Mini-Fair - What To Know

  • At the South Florida Fair Grounds through Jan. 31
  • Hours are Mon - Friday 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
  • There will be live music (including tribute bands), fair food, livestock shows (including racing pigs), and kiddie rides
  • There will not be adult rides
  • If you buy a ticket for $10 to the Mini-Fair it will get you into the full-fledge fair for free in May (Tuesdays - Thursdays)

3) The Twisted Tuna Seafood Festival - Port Salerno
It's three days of fresh seafood, cold drinks, live music, kid's zone, and local vendors. The event is free but you need to RSVP.

4) Drive-in Laser Light Show - Ft. Pierce
A drive-in laser light show set to the latest hits with fantastic graphic effects. Jan. 21 - 24 at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds. Tickets start at $25 (plus fee) per car. You can bring your own chairs, blankets, and refreshments.

5) Free Movie Night - Wellington
Join the Villiage of Wellington as they show Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs, rated PG. The movie will be shown on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. Space is limited and you need to register for free on Eventbrite.
