Santa to wear mask this holiday season in South Florida

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The annual visit with Santa Claus is going to be a little different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Santa said, "I want to set a good example for the children on how to be socially distant."

The Gardens Mall plans to let you, "Whisper your wishes to Jolly Old Saint Nick," starting on Saturday, Nov. 21.

"Stay on Santa’s good list by following safety and health guidelines – maintaining social distance, wearing face masks, and being patient during the enhanced cleaning between visits," said a spokesperson at The Gardens Mall.

Things to Know - The Gardens Mall
Runs during normal hours Nov. 21 through Christmas Eve.

  • Socially distant photos with Santa (no lap-sitting)
  • Santa will place his magical mask over his beard
  • Appointments are strongly encouraged
  • Children 2 and up require facial coverings
  • Enhanced cleanings between visits
  • Lines will have social distant spacing between parties

Runs Nov. 27 - Christmas Eve running Monday – Saturday from 1 – 7 p.m. and 1 – 5 p.m. on Sunday.
