Slay Your Day with T.A. talks about the new Avocado Cantina
Avocado Grill located at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens has rebranded itself as Avocado Cantina and opened on Monday.
The restaurant features build your own margaritas, an extensive tequila menu, Mexican Street Corn, tacos, and their specialty dish is Conchinita Pibil (a Yucutan-style marinated slow-roasted pork dish).
"I rebranded the concept because I feel the market [in Palm Beach Gardens] was craving some good Mexican food," said Chef/Owner Julien Gremaud.
Gremaud said in the past his Mexican-themed events, dishes, and drinks were very popular so that's what sparked the idea to change themes.
The chef said he spent 10 days in Mexico getting training on the cuisine.
Gremaud said he is not trying to compete "with the other great Mexican restaurants in town like Rocco's Tacos", but instead he is offering something different.
