Downtown Delray turns pink!
Downtown Delray Beach painted the town pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on October 26th. Pink lights, compliments of the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority, adorned trees and light poles on Atlantic Avenue and in Pineapple Grove, and businesses throughout Downtown including: The Colony Hotel, Caspian, Old School Square and the Hyatt Place were also accented with pink lighting, as well as offered special discounts and items in support Komen’s local life-saving breast cancer programs and research to find a cure.
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - On Thursday, Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure wanted to make a bold statement; so they, along with their partners, turned Atlantic Avenue and Pineapple Grove pink!
The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority helped adorn trees and light poles with pink lights and balloons.
The "pink-a-fying" of Delray was done to promote the upcoming Race for the Cure in January.
Participating businesses included The Colony Hotel, Caspian, Old School Square, The Hyatt Place and more.
