5 Fun Things to do with your kids on Winter Break

You may be looking for fun things to do with the kids since the Palm Beach County School District on winter break starting Saturday, Dec. 22 and then returning on Jan. 7, 2019.

1) Hoffman's Chocolate's Winter Wonderland and Florida Panther Outdoor Ice Skating
This adventure will occupy hours of time. You can go ice skating in an outdoor rink, then take a Chocolate Christmas Tree Bar decorating class with Santa, roam around and check out all of the 125,000 lights in the Winter Wonderland

Saturday and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

2) Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical
The beloved TV classic Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer soars off the screen and onto the stage this holiday season. See all of your favorite characters as they come to life in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical. Recommended for ages 4-10.

3) Garden of Lights
New this holiday season is Mounts Botanical's "Garden of Lights" , running now through December 30th (closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25). Thousands of lights illuminating foliage around the garden. The pretension was installed by the same company that produces Admirals Cove, and Las Olas's displays. The garden is open nightly at 5:30 and costs $10 for adults and $5 for children ages five to 12 and $8 for members.

4) Nutcracker
Step into this magical world of toy soldiers, colorful characters, and the enchanting “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy”, set to the music of Tchaikovsky performed by a live orchestra.

5) Lights 4 Hope Drive Thru Holiday Light Show
Drive thru Okeeheelee park and see the holiday light display. Proceeds benefit children in local hospitals.
