5 fun things to do this weekend in the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast (May 11 - 13)

Now that season is over, and it's time to relax, there is a lot of laughs to be had around South Florida and while this weekend is mainly focused on mom, here are some things to do before Mother's Day.

1) Dane Cook - Hollywood

Comedian Dane Cook coming to town (Warning video below is intended for adult audiences).

2) 4th Annual Live Like Jake 5K Run/Walk - Jupiter

The Gist
The walk raises funds to end childhood drowning.  They provide self-rescue swim lesson scholarships and assistance to families who have lost a loved one.

The walk will be held at Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter

3) Alan Jackson - West Palm Beach

The Gist
The country singer and songwriter is known for blending traditional honky-tonk and mainstream country sounds in his music. His many hits singles include ."Chattahoochee," "Summertime Blues," "Livin' on Love" and "Gone Country." The opening act is Lee Ann Womack.

4) Eddie Money - Boca Raton

The Gist
The rock singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist had success in the '70s and '80s with such hits as “Take Me Home Tonight” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.” He'll be joined by Blue Oyster Cult ("Don't Fear the Reaper") and Foghat (“Slow Ride”). The opening act is local band the Livesays.

5) Food Truck Safari - West Palm Beach

The Gist
Explore the zoo while you enjoy great eats from some of Palm Beach County's best gourmet food trucks. There's live music by Shauna Sweeney and the Steve Chumley Duo, a cash bar and a tap-takeover by Ookapow Brewing Co. featuring their new Cherry Old Style Ale and Ooka IPA. Be sure to check out the tiger keeper talk at 7 p.m.
